SEO SERVICES · SYDNEY

SEO services in Sydney, starting with the foundations most small business sites skip.

Most small business websites do not have a ranking problem so much as a readability problem: Google cannot work out which page is about which service, half the pages are thin, and nobody has opened Search Console since it was set up. We fix the foundations first, then improve the pages that should be earning enquiries.

What we actually do

We are deliberately specific here, because “SEO” gets used to sell everything from useful work to monthly reports nobody reads. Our SEO work is focused on four things:

  • Technical audit: indexing, crawl errors, redirects, canonical tags, sitemaps, page speed and mobile rendering.
  • On-page work: one clear search intent per page, useful titles and descriptions, proper headings, internal links and content that answers the questions buyers ask.
  • Local foundations: consistent business details, service-area content that is genuinely useful, and Google Business Profile guidance where your business is eligible.
  • Measurement: Search Console and analytics set up so you can see impressions, clicks and enquiries from organic landing pages.

What we do not do

We do not buy links, build private blog networks, publish dozens of near-identical suburb pages or promise page-one positions. These tactics either breach Google’s spam policies or simply do not work for long, and you carry the risk, not the agency.

We also do not present ourselves as an enterprise SEO agency. If you need large-scale content operations or a complex e-commerce migration, we will say so and suggest you look for a specialist.

Fix the foundation before writing more

Publishing more articles on a site with indexing problems is like adding rooms to a house with a cracked slab. The audit usually finds a handful of issues that matter: service pages competing with each other for the same search, important pages missing from the sitemap, broken internal links, slow mobile pages or titles that all say “Home”.

We fix those first. Then we rewrite or consolidate the commercial pages that should be bringing in work, and only after that recommend new content where there is a real gap.

How success is measured

SEO is slow and the honest way to report it is against a baseline. Before changing anything we record a Search Console snapshot: which queries you appear for, at what average position, with how many impressions and clicks.

After changes, we compare like-for-like periods and look at commercial queries, not just total traffic. Ranking for “what is a downpipe” is nice; ranking for “downpipe replacement Blacktown” pays the bills. Meaningful movement usually takes months, and results are never guaranteed.

Weighing SEO against Google Ads? Read the decision guide

Local SEO without the shortcuts

For local service businesses, Google Business Profile often matters as much as the website. Eligibility rules are strict: businesses must make in-person contact with customers, and service-area businesses must hide a home address. We help you follow those rules rather than inventing an office.

On the website, we write service-area content that helps a real customer (coverage, response times, typical jobs in that area) instead of cloning a page and swapping the suburb name.

Common questions

How long does SEO take to work?

Technical fixes can be picked up within weeks of Google recrawling the site. Movement on competitive commercial searches usually takes several months and depends on competition, your site’s history and how much useful content you have. Anyone giving you a precise date is guessing.

Do you guarantee page-one rankings?

No. Google does not sell rankings and no agency controls them. Google’s own guidance warns against providers who guarantee them.

Should I do SEO or Google Ads first?

It depends on how quickly you need enquiries, how much search demand exists and how much budget you have. Our SEO versus Google Ads guide includes a decision matrix for Sydney small businesses.

Can you do SEO on a website you did not build?

Usually, yes, provided we can get the access needed to make changes. Some platforms limit what can be changed; the audit will flag that.

Do I need to keep paying every month?

No. Many small businesses need a fixed project: audit, fixes and rewritten service pages. Ongoing work makes sense when there is a steady stream of useful content or pages to improve.
