How Much Do Meta Ads Cost in Sydney? — Everest Marketing

There is no single Sydney price

A Sydney detailer, electrician and home-service business can have very different job values, service areas and capacity. A useful Meta Ads budget starts with those realities. A universal cost per lead or monthly spend figure cannot tell you whether the work is viable for your business.

This guide follows the planning approach Everest describes in its service process: understand the offer, customer and service area, build the enquiry path, then review what happens after the lead arrives. The calculations below are planning tools, not reported campaign results or promised prices.

Separate the costs before comparing proposals

Media spend is the money paid to Meta for advertising through your own advertising account. Management is the separate service fee for the agreed campaign work. Creative production, website or landing-page development, CRM setup and tracking implementation may be additional work, depending on the scope.

Ask for each item in writing, including what is recurring, what is a one-off setup and what you provide yourself. If one proposal includes creative and another does not, their management fees are not directly comparable. Keep the media budget visible rather than treating every cost as a single advertising package.

Start with the contribution from the work you want

Choose a service you actually want more of and estimate the contribution from a completed job: revenue excluding GST, less the variable costs of delivering that job. Include relevant labour, materials and travel. Revenue alone is not the amount available to spend on acquiring a customer.

Then decide how much contribution must remain for overheads, profit and risk. Your planning acquisition allowance per customer is the job contribution minus that required retained amount. If the allowance is zero or negative, increasing advertising does not fix the economics. Do not count hoped-for repeat purchases unless you have evidence to support them.

Turn customer economics into an enquiry planning ceiling

Planning all-in acquisition allowance per qualified enquiry = acquisition allowance per completed customer × qualified-enquiry-to-customer rate. Express the rate as a fraction and use the same definition of qualified enquiry throughout.

The result is a ceiling for all acquisition costs allocated to that enquiry, not a recommended bid or a promised Meta cost per lead. Management, creative and setup costs also have to fit. If you do not know your close rate, model a conservative range and label it as an assumption; replace it with observed results once enough real enquiries have reached a decision.

Define a qualified enquiry before spending

For a local service business, useful qualification might mean the requested service is offered, the customer is in a genuinely served suburb, the timing is workable and the business has capacity. Ask only questions that affect the next conversation. A detailer might need vehicle type and service interest; a home-service team might need job type and location.

A form completion is an enquiry, not proof of fit or a sale. Keep raw submissions, suitable enquiries, quotes, bookings and completed jobs distinct. Review quality with the person who actually quotes or books the work, rather than deciding a campaign is successful because the platform reports inexpensive leads.

Keep the first test narrow and affordable

Pick one clear service, a realistic Sydney or Western Sydney service area and a conversion path your team can support. Agree who supplies real project photos or videos, who approves the offer and who responds to enquiries. Spreading a small budget over every service can make it harder to understand what worked.

Set a maximum amount you can afford to spend while learning, including fees and setup. Agree a review point and a pause decision before launch. A short test can reveal tracking or lead-quality problems, but it cannot establish a permanent cost benchmark or guarantee future bookings.

Check that an enquiry really reaches the team

Before sending paid traffic, complete a clearly labelled test enquiry and confirm the team can find it in the agreed inbox or CRM. Check the service details, source and next action. A thank-you screen alone does not prove that the business received the enquiry.

Also confirm what the visitor sees after an unsuccessful submission and whether they can retry or use the phone contact. Everest tests successful acceptance and failure paths separately. Your own campaign should have a similar delivery check, with test enquiries excluded from qualified-customer reporting and contact details kept out of general analytics.

Plan the work after the lead

Decide who handles enquiries while the owner is on a job, what happens after hours and when a customer can expect a response. Keep quote reminders and follow-up relevant to the actual request and any consent or agreed contact preferences.

If enquiries are suitable but quotes are not being followed up, more spend may only enlarge the backlog. Review the handoff and capacity before increasing the budget. CRM or automation can support that process, but optional implementation work should have its own agreed scope and cost.

Understand the two-week Everest management offer

For a suitable Meta Ads engagement, Everest waives the management fee for the first two weeks. Advertising spend is paid separately by the client through their own Meta account. Business fit, service capacity and advertising readiness apply. Results are not guaranteed.

Optional website, CRM and automation work is scoped and priced separately. Agree the actual trial deliverables, start point, media budget and review process before launch. Any ongoing scope and terms should be agreed before continuing beyond the trial. A waived management fee does not make media spend free or establish the likely cost of a customer.

Review the full cost against observed outcomes

For a defined review period, record media spend, management fees and the agreed allocation of creative or setup costs. Compare that total with suitable enquiries and actual new customers from the same campaign cohort. Label results as incomplete when enquiries are still awaiting quotes or bookings.

All-in acquisition cost per observed new customer = total acquisition costs for that cohort ÷ observed new customers from it. If there are no customers yet, report the spend and pipeline stages instead of inventing a customer acquisition cost. Record uncertain attribution and avoid giving the campaign credit for every existing customer or referral.

What to bring to the first conversation

Bring the service you want to promote, real service area, available capacity, typical job contribution, what you know about quote-to-booking outcomes and the way enquiries are handled today. Note which figures are measured and which are assumptions.

Ask what is included in management, what creative is needed, whether the landing page is ready, how enquiry delivery will be checked and what happens at the review point. Everest can then discuss a scope and test plan around your business rather than attach an unsupported Sydney price to every campaign.
